Erin is an analytical chemist with research interests that utilize plasma surface modification of metal oxide nanomaterials for various electronic applications. She has expertise in a wide array of materials analysis techniques including various microscopy, spectroscopy, and diffraction techniques to comprehensively understand structure-property-performance relationships of electronic materials for gas sensing applications. She is working with the CIF to coordinate with faculty to utilize CIF instrumentation for materials analysis in courses, including the CIF Summer Schools on Instrumental Methods for Materials and Life Science Analysis.
